Prince Kalada Oko-Jaja is the Executive Director/CEO and Founder of Rugged Steps Foundation; the renowned disability rights advocacy non governmental organization, at the forefront of advocacy, training, and empowerment of people with disabilities also known as people with special needs, since 2006 YTD. He holds a Bachelor Of Science (B.Sc) degree in Computer Science and Mathematics from the Rivers State University of Science and Technology. He hails from Opobo/Nkoro local government area of Rivers state.

As a result of his strong passion, love for the community of people with special needs, his hard work geared toward improving the welfare,,protecting the rights and advocating inclusion of these special citizens, the Rivers State Government recognized and appointed him a Technical Consultant on disability matters in 2013-2015. Prince Kalada Oko-Jaja was engaged as Consultant by the Rivers State Sustainable Development Agency (RSSDA) and seconded to Rivers State Ministry of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation. Prince Kalada Oko-Jaja, has accomplished alot, he is a distinguished Executive member of the State Child Rights implementation committee (SCRIC), an organized social services congress of the Rivers State Ministry of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation, he is an ambassador to the Joint Association of Persons with Disabilities-Rivers State Chapter (JONAPD), just to mention a few.
He is naturally gifted as an event manager with outstanding creativity skills, a professional compere, an expert in voice-over for high profile jingles and TV hype, an inspirational speaker, a transparent leader with great enthusiasm for sustainable positive impacts, he is also a renowned gospel music minister, and a leader in Fellowship of Gospel Music Ministers of Nigeria (FOGMMON)-Rivers State Chapter.

Prince K. as he's fondly called by his family and loved ones, has continued to impact this generation through the Rugged Steps Foundation which has reach out to over 3million people with special needs in Nigeria, his NGO has directly trained and empowered over 2000 persons with special needs over the last 10years. At the centre,

we employ the use of creative arts education and mentorship skills thereby developing the self-esteem of these special citizens through motivational workshops, effective communication and converting raw skills into marketable skills.

About Rugged Steps Foundation

Rugged Steps Foundation is a renowned disability rights advocacy Non-Governmental organization, we are at the forefront of advocacy, training, empowering, protecting the rights, promoting welfare and dignity of persons living with physical disabilities otherwise known as people with special needs, this has been our areas of focus since 2006 YTD.

WE are a team over 80 membership of young professionals and entrepreneurs from different fields of endeavor, the NGO is open to everyone who wants to make positive impact in the society, above all ensuring that barriers against people with special needs are broken for an all inclusive society at all level.

Our core programs are run quarterly, we have a day set aside to celebrate special needs friends all over the world, that is usually on the 3rd of every December, but we have decided as NGO to push our close to Christmas so as to give them a sense of belonging during yuletide season. At the celebration, we have gala night, dinner, awards to entrepreneurs with disabilities who have excelled in business, careers, and skills. We have partners that cut across government ministries, departments, agencies, the private sector, among others.
